Is it free?
Yes, it is 100% free to search and use our services for renters and landlords. If you are a landlord, you can pay a flat fee and upgrade your listing to become a featured property on nexnest.com.
What if I don’t see any listings in my search?
If your search doesn’t return any results, it is likely that your search criteria may be too specific. We recommend starting a search with location and number of bedroom, then narrowing your search filters from there.

I am a landlord / property manager. How can I list my property?
You can Create a Listing here.
Simply go through the easy step by step process of creating your listing. Once all the information is filled out your listing will be live and posted for students to see.
Should I upgrade my property listing?
Upgrading your listing gives you the best opportunity to get your property rented for a future rental time period.
What does upgrading my property give me as a landlord?
When you upgrade your listing it maximizes the opportunity to fill your house or apartment. The upgraded package offers an array of services and features for your property listing. These features include: your property is listed 1st within the nexnest.com search results, includes your property in the nexnest email newsletter, and promotes your property through our social media platforms. We also create a listing of your property on Craigslist.com, Apartment.com, Zillow.com and University Registries to expand your property promotion(at landlord's discretion). How do I sign up?
You can sign up a renter or a landlord here
How do I create a group?
Once you have created an account head into My Groups which can be found in the top right menu bar. Click Create New Group. Select View Group and from there you can invite your friends.
How do I schedule a tour?
You can schedule a tour by clicking on “Schedule Tour” on any listing page. Select a time from the available timeframes shown and submit your tour request. You will be notified when the tour has been scheduled.
How do I apply for a rental?
You can apply for a rental by first, creating an account

and invite your desired roommates to join! After that, simply click “Request this Listing”
on a listing page and wait for the property owner to review your request. To see your pending and accepted requests, go to that groups page and click on "Listing Requests".
How do I sign my lease?
We currently do not handle lease signing. Once your request to lease a property listing has been accepted, please contact your landlord through the messenger to find out how to sign your lease.
How do I pay my security deposit?
We currently do not handle security deposit payments. Once your request to lease a property listing has been accepted, please contact your landlord through the messenger to find out how to pay your deposit.
How do I pay my rent?
Currently, all rent payments are not handled through nexnest.com. Please contact your landlord to obtain information on how to pay your rent.
When is my rent due?
Rent due dates are subject to the landlord’s lease agreement. Visit your house page and click "Pay Rent" for details on payment due dates.
How do maintenance requests work?
To issue a maintenance request, please visit your My House Portal, and click the tab for Maintenance Requests. To submit a request, click New Request, select your Request Type and write a description of your maintenance issue. You can submit a maintenance request when there is a maintenance issue at your property (ie. plumbing, electrical, damages, etc.).
